We use Spectrum Glass as our crayon box. It is a jumping off point to help crafters or those unfamiliar with stained glass.

Spectrum Glass Company is one the most modern and innovative of all the large production glass companies. Spectrum is constantly adding new glasses for both cold and hot applications.

Being a teaching studio, in addition to making commissioned works of stained glass, it is hard to ignore that Spectrum Waterglass® is the most popular stained glass in the world. Spectrum’s diversity in colors and textures makes it almost impossible to not find what you want.

Why wouldn’t we sell Spectrum Glass?

Some studios feel it is inferior to other companies’ stained glass. We have learned while working with many different companies that glasses vary in work-ability due to texture, color & manufacturing processes. Each provides individual strengths and weaknesses. It is our job to know what those may be and pass those details to you, the consumer.

The important thing to know about Spectrum Glass and Red Badge Glass is that we rarely, if ever, stock RX or TX glass. On those rare occasions that we do stock RX or TX glass it is always clearly labeled. Often experimental colors or textures are classified as RX or TX. These are the instances when we stock this type of glass.
